There are several destinations for campers and RVers in Jefferson County. To the north in Warm Springs there is camping and RV spots at the Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort and Casino, which offers a year-round world class hot springs swimming pool, spa, miniature golf, game room, and other amenities.

In between Warm Springs and Madras, you will find Lake Simtustus Resort and Pelton Park Campground. These are two relatively unknown camping spots but are becoming more popular every year with return visitors.

In Madras, there are several RV spots including Jefferson County Fair Complex & RV Park and Trails West RV Park. These sites are, of course, in the city. Further south in Metolius there is Mountain View RV Park with full hook ups in a convenient location for vacationers. In the southern area of Jefferson County, and the city of Culver, lie the ever popular Cove Palisades State Park, KOA, and Perry South Campgrounds. The Cove Palisades State Park offers several camping and RV spots, most of which are lush with trees for shading, and is near Lake Billy Chinook. KOA has all the amenities needed for a comfortable nights stay. Perry South Campground is southwest of the Cove Palisades State Park and has no hook-ups but is very secluded and quite for either tent or RV camping. In the southwestern part of Jefferson County lies the Metolius Recreation Area. Nestled in the Cascade Mountains, this quite little area holds several quaint spots for visitors.

Black Butte Ranch, although a resort, offers RV camping, Camp Sherman Store offers cabins, and Cold Springs Resort has an RV park. There is also Lake Creek Lodge, Metolius River Lodges, and Metolius River Resort for your camping pleasures. Suttle Lake is a beautiful spot for the mountain getaway. Historic Falls Cabin - Historic original 1920's cabin overlooks the falls on Lake Creek. Guard Station Cabin - Overlooks secluded area of Lake Creek. 12 Rustic Cabins - Sleeping cabins each have a double bed and bunk beds, sitting room with a sofa bed. Front covered porch, picnic table and fire pit. Campsites and Groupsites - Includes picnic table and a fire pit. Bathroom & Shower Facilities - Two facilities with flush toilets and showers.
