Camping & RV Parks

Jefferson County is a popular camping destination, with plenty of campsites and RV locations. Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert Resort & Casino offers world-class amenities including a hot springs swimming pool, golf, spa and more. Lake Simtustus Resort & RV Park provides lakeside camping with beautiful surroundings.

The Cove Palisades State Park, surrounding Lake Billy Chinook, has several camping locations for both RVs and tents. Due to its popularity, the Cove is often booked so reservations are recommended during the peak season. One campground and a boat launch area is open year-round.

Central Oregon KOA Campground is located near Haystack Reservoir. Other camping locations include Camp Sherman, Suttle Lake, sites along the Deschutes River, private campgrounds in Metolius and Crooked River Ranch and undeveloped campgrounds dispersed throughout the Crooked River National Grasslands.
