Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 annually

The Chamber Board Executive Director plays a critical role in the success of the chamber of commerce by overseeing and managing all operations and activities. Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the administrative assistant and the board of directors to advance the chamber's mission and goals.
- Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the staff, volunteers, and members.
- Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders including government officials, local businesses, community leaders, and other organizations.
2. Operations Management:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the chamber including budgeting, financial management, membership development, event planning, and staff supervision.
- Ensure efficient and effective implementation of programs, projects, and initiatives based on member needs.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for board meetings.
3. Advocacy and Representation:
- Serve as a liaison between the chamber and government entities, advocating for policies that support the interests of local businesses.
- Represent the chamber at public events, conferences, and meetings with external organizations.
- Maintain a strong network within the business community to stay informed about issues affecting members.
4. Membership Engagement:
- Foster strong relationships with current members to ensure their satisfaction and engagement with chamber programs.
- Implement strategies to attract new members from diverse industries and sectors.
- Develop and deliver value-added services to meet member needs including networking opportunities, educational programs, mentorship initiatives, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in executive leadership roles, preferably within a chamber of commerce or similar organization.
- Sound knowledge of local business environment, economic development strategies, and government relations.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) along with public speaking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in office software applications and experience with membership management software is desirable.
- Works well as a team.
